Athenaeum Film Night – Christmas Films

With festivities in full swing, the audience will be given the choice between two classic Christmas films: It’s a Wonderful Life, James Stewart’s Everyman character finally realises that – yes – life is wonderful and worth living in this inspired, inspiring Christmas cracker, or The Shop Around the Corner. Stewart is the man working in a gift shop conducting a love affair by letter with a woman he has never met, while taking an instant dislike to Clerk Sullivan who starts to work there.
