Charlie (Joseph Cotton) eludes a police cordon, and takes refuge with his country cousins, Their Daughter (Teresa Wright) takes quite a shine to him until she discovers his appalling scent. Not a healthy thing to do.
This was Alfred Hitchcock’s favourite film.
