The Athenaeum has many historical links to similar institutions in the USA and this week we have been able to renew the trans-Atlantic connection. Haley Barnet is a highly qualified and experienced librarian who has had a varied experience both in the States and here in Britain. Haley, who now lives in the City, has volunteered to join our Library team, which allows us to have professional coverage on an extra day each week. Though Friday is always a busy day in the Athenaeum, up until now we have not been able to make the library available. Now Haley will be there to guide you and to trace queries and references as well as helping with the general administration.
