DESCRIPTION:Thursday 20th October at 5.30 pm in the Library Reading Room \n‘The Library of Henry Blundell (1724-1810) of Ince Blundell Hall’ \nBy Dr John Edmondson \n  \nDr John Edmondson is a former member and President of the Athenaeum. He lives now in North Wales. Formerly he was head of science at National Museums & Galleries\, Liverpool. \nHe has not stopped working\, and recently has been helping Royal Botanic Gardens\, Kew to prepare a guide to the flora of Iraq. \nMany members will know of the location of Ince Blundell Hall between Crosby and Formby\, and also may have seen Henry Blundell’s collection of statuary in the Walker Art Gallery. \nCome to hear Dr Edmondson speak about the library that Henry Blundell assembled\, including mention of our own Athenaeum library. \n  \nSupper is available at 6.30 pm\, providing it is booked via Reception.
