SUMMARY:Athenaeum Film Nights Presents: Laughter in Paradise
DESCRIPTION:The first in this year’s series of classic films takes place on Wednesday 11th October\, and will feature the 1951 comedy Laughter in Paradise\, starring George Cole\, Guy Middleton & Fay Compton – with a minor appearance from one Audrey Hepburn. \nWhen famous practical joker Henry Russell dies\, he leaves his £200\,000 to his four remaining relatives. While ostensibly a very loving act\, Henry stipulates that each of the benefactors must complete a series of tasks to receive the money\, which begins a series of tricky trials\, each more hilarious than the last – nobody said getting rich would be easy\, after all. \nGuests gather in the Newsroom from 6:30pm ahead of supper at 7:00pm. The cinema will then open in the Wine Servery at 8:00pm.
