A small unsigned portrait in the Reading Room, presented by Proprietor J. Paul Rylands in 1906, depicts Canon Abrham Hume. Who was he and why do we have his portrait? Proprietor Ralph Marsh will be sharing with us the fruits of his research into this fascinating cleric, writer and antiquarian.
