Dr. Boreczky is a retired Senior Lecturer of the University ELTE Budapest, Hungary and a former Visiting Professor of Rudgers University, New Jersey, USA. The subject of the lecture is entitled:
John Wyclif’s Political Theology and King and Emperor Sigismund’s Reformation
The end of chivalry and the prefiguration of the political map and discourses of modern Europe
It is being given under the auspices of the Ordo Draconum 1408, of which Dr. Zsigmond is the Grand Prior in the UK. I feel sure that it will be fascinating. This is not strictly an Athenaeum Presidential event, but there will be a dinner for Dr. Boreczky and, subject to space being available, Proprietors will be able to attend. It is an honour for the Club to be asked to provide a venue for this prestigious lecture and we look forward to welcoming Dr. Boreczky to the Institution.
