Athenaeum Film Nights Presents: Laughter in Paradise

£16.50The first in this year’s series of classic films takes place on Wednesday 11th October, and will feature the 1951 comedy Laughter in Paradise, starring George Cole, Guy Middleton & Fay Compton – with a minor appearance from one Audrey Hepburn.
When famous practical joker Henry Russell dies, he leaves his £200,000 to his four remaining relatives. While ostensibly a very loving act, Henry stipulates that each of the benefactors must complete a series of tasks to receive the money, which begins a series of tricky trials, each more hilarious than the last – nobody said getting rich would be easy, after all.
Guests gather in the Newsroom from 6:30pm ahead of supper at 7:00pm. The cinema will then open in the Wine Servery at 8:00pm. Sweets and treats will of course be served in the interval!
