Going on the Ghan – One of the World’s Greatest Train Journeys

The Ghan is one of the world’s great rail journeys, running across Australia, from Darwin in the North to Adelaide in the South across the red centre. The railway was designed to link the Northern Territory to the rest of Australia.
Completed in 2004 (120 years after the project started) it now operates as a luxury “land cruise” by Journey Beyond. Proprietor Ursula Curwen was fortunate to travel Platinum Class across the great southern land and her talk invites you aboard the train with her to explore Australia’s remarkable landscape, eating amazing food and meeting its people discovering their stories.
