Local writer Deborah Morgan published her first novel Disappearing Home, set in inner-city Liverpool, in 2012. It was described by Alan Bleasdale as ‘a remarkable first novel – both heartbreaking and wonderfully lacking in any sentimentality’ and by Jimmy Mc Govern as ‘wonderful, authentic, compelling’. Debbie is currently working on further novels and a play.
