THE MIRACLE WORKER (1962) Based on a biography of Annie Sullivan, the blind teacher who reaches out to blind-deaf Helen Keller, it shows her turning Helen from a frustrated, sometimes violent child into one who overcomes her dreadful disabilities, and is one of the most heart-warming films you can see. Anne Bancroft plays Sullivan and Patty Duke, Keller. The film is directed by Arthur Penn. (Running time 107 mins.)
