In mid-November, our offer of reciprocity with the Ipswich & Suffolk Club was accepted and the paperwork formalities were initiated.
The Ipswich and Suffolk Club was established in 1885 when, on Christmas Eve, the very first meeting of the Ipswich and Suffolk Club Company Limited was presided over by its first Chairman, Spencer Dixon.
Then, as now, the club was housed in the former home of the Archdeacon of Suffolk, an ancient building traced back to the 1500s when monks lived the monastic life within its walls.
The club is very proud of its dining facilities and the quality of both their cuisine and their wine offering. Booking for lunchtime dining is essential & evening dining is limited to organised evening dining, much like our own restaurant.
Opening Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm parking is available, but please discuss in advance.
Saturday the clubhouse is open to members with limited facilities available.
The club enjoys a busy social calendar including Pilates, Book Club & Bridge Club. They also provide 2 snooker tables for the enjoyment of members, as advance booking allows.
Suffolk being a popular holiday destination, why not set aside an afternoon to enjoy their fine dining & comfortable facilities if you’re in the area?
