The Institution will close for Christmas on Wednesday December 24th at 4pm and reopen on Monday 5th January at 9am.

Commemorating 100 years on from the outbreak of WWI, The Alexandrian’s of Merseyside and Proprietors of the Athenaeum meet to attend a lunch marking the sombre occasion. Lest we forget.
From now until our Annual Closedown (commencing monday 18th August until 1st September) every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday,the Summer Buffet will be available in the Dining room. The cost of the buffet is £12.00 per person, service times remain the same beginning at 12:30pm.
