Literature Group: Jane Austen & Everton

Dr Janet Hollinshead will talk about Jane Austen and her unexpected connection to Everton.
The novel Godmersham Park, by Gill Hornby, appeared in 2022. It is the story of Anne Sharp – the governess to Jane Austen’s niece who lived in Kent. It is surprising where the author’s notes can take a local historian – to the Athenaeum library and even to Everton.
