‘Sheds on Roofs’ – The Architecture Group

To all aficionados of the built environment: I promised you some quirky architecture interest sessions only to be thwarted by an invisible terrorist that confined us all to barracks. Undaunted, and determined to beat it, I sped off with boundless enthusiasm and reckless speed into a digital cul-de-sac. As I trudged through the technological swamp of the ever-changing video graphics landscape, I could hear the echoes of my sixth form art master, demeaning my then meagre ambitions. Over the intervening decades, his abusive words have been a constant source of inspiration as I tackled the windmills of life, and the last few weeks have been no exception. Alone, with out-of-date software, a dodgy Wi-Fi connection and a diminishing stock of Château la Tour, I persevered with the bits and bites, the glitches and the reboots, to deliver you “Sheds on Roofs” – an everyday story of city folk – as told to me late one Friday night, by a seagull in the Baltic triangle, who claimed to be the reincarnation of a Blue Funnel bosun.

The experience will last around 25 minutes, but the scars could be with you for life. My advice is to keep your finger on the sound button to protect your ears from the erratic decibels and the aggressive white noise. Other than that, pay attention to the detail, because there might be questions next time we are allowed to congregate around Christine’s coffee table looking for a spoon.

Good luck to all, don’t run out of tablets!
