The Club received the sad news today that Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Christie, the first female President of The Athenaeum, passed away this morning in her sleep.
Liz had been suffering with Vascular Dementia in recent years and Doctors believe that she had contracted COVID-19 which had exacerbated her dementia.
The funeral will take place at midday on 11 May at Springwood crematorium and due to the limitation on who is able to attend it will be streamed on the internet via zoom. The link to connect to this is available via The Athenaeum.
